Change, the Constant Initiation

Change is "the act of changing; alteration of the state or quality of anything; the fact of becoming other than it was; variation, mutation." Change means "to make a thing other than it was; to render different, to alter, modify, transmute, transform, to cause something or someone to be different; to become different or undergo alteration, transformation or transition."

Change is a frequent initiation in which you exchange the known for the unknown, willingly or under compulsion. You must become a master of change.

Eventually, you must change every part of your being, physical, emotional, mental and spiritual, back into the Light from which you sprang. The mystery of Transfiguration exemplifies change.

Edna Lister on Change

It may take a while, perhaps centuries, but you can love anyone up into the Light and see them change into it. – Edna Lister, The Sermon on the Mount, January 31, 1933.

A strong will is one that never changes purpose, yet is not blind willful stubbornness. A weak will is timid, afraid to change attitudes or tactics at a moment's notice. A weak wish-washy will cannot hold firm, so sways with every passing breeze. – Edna Lister, The Fountain of Youth, December 19, 1934.

You cannot change your soul's inner desire to be as perfect as your heavenly Father. – Edna Lister, The Fountain of Youth, December 19, 1934.

The One Source never alters, never changes. – Edna Lister, The High Call, January 2, 1935.

Nothing in the universe is destroyed, for all is Light; only its form changes. – Edna Lister, Unpublished Papers, August 8, 1938.

It is easier to make changes on the inner than on earth. – Edna Lister, Unpublished Papers, November 24, 1938.

God does not change laws to suit what the earth-born decide and think. Each runs on a power of choice and may choose to suit himself. Yet do not expect to change God's laws and plans when you choose a new and different way. – Edna Lister, Unpublished Papers, January 2, 1939.

Inner events change many outer plans. – Edna Lister, Unpublished Papers, July 12, 1939.

God Himself, cannot interfere with darkness as long as a person hides it within. Once the person expresses it as thought, word or action, He can lift the darkness and change it into Light through you, as you speak the Word. – Edna Lister, Unpublished Papers, September 10, 1939.

You may be apt, in your desire to help, to think of some way or something you would like a loved one to act or to do. Your desire colors your love vibration as it goes forth, and if it is strong enough to actually change the loved one's line of destiny, you are guilty of misdirecting him from God's appointed path for him. – Edna Lister, Unpublished Papers, November 16, 1939.

You cannot change the world of jealousy and envy. You can change your self to be so filled with love that love changes everything that touces you to add it to your power of love. – Edna Lister, Unpublished Papers, February 2, 1940.

An expectant attitude is a great aid in adapting to sudden changes. – Edna Lister, Unpublished Papers, February 22, 1940.

Nothing stands still. A vibration or combination of vibrations brings many elements together. They catalyze each another, then are broken up and reformed in other but always in higher vibrations. – Edna Lister, Unpublished Papers, November 22, 1940.

To change darkness to Light, you must unsettle old opinions and prejudices, and shake up the sediment of darkness underneath smooth exteriors. – Edna Lister, Unpublished Papers, January 28, 1941.

Power inevitably descends into and ascends through physical bodies to change them. There is no need to push, shove, demand or expect. Lift and let the other fellow follow his own path. – Edna Lister, Unpublished Papers, July 3, 1941.

Life is inevitable, unchangeable, eternal, forever the same, deathless, ageless, abiding, all yours. What changes most in life is your attitude toward it. – Edna Lister, Unpublished Papers, October 22, 1941.

Changing man-created darkness into Light again does not lift the force created through misuse of Power. You must redeem the related Mind and Substance as well. – Edna Lister, Unpublished Papers, November 3, 1941.

Bless all food that you eat because it is thus in your power to change it into pure spiritual substance to heal. – Edna Lister, Unpublished Papers, November 29, 1941.

Pride of will does not change God, but destroys the one who uses it to make his own desire good. – Edna Lister, Unpublished Papers, January 5, 1942.

You may approach every outer goal by at least five different paths. Often earth incidents or inner influences change the road to the plan to maintain balance on earth, for the Power must be equally balanced throughout earth. Do not be surprised or give up hope. – Edna Lister, Unpublished Papers, April 16, 1942.

Often outside influences change the lines of Light in a situation, yet Light converts those changes into delay, not harm. – Edna Lister, Unpublished Papers, August 26, 1942.

You are the sovereign ruler of your own mind: No earthly idea can change your mind once you have chosen. – Edna Lister, Unpublished Papers, February 4, 1943.

Each participant in a decision changes the plan, often so much that the originator often cannot recognize it. – Edna Lister, Unpublished Papers, May 6, 1943.

God makes changes according to heaven's needs, not according to any earth desires. – Edna Lister, Unpublished Papers, July 22, 1943.

Ultimately, all change is simply the transition from a lesser state of relative darkness to a higher state, closer to absolute Light. When changed from darkness, Light is brighter than in its beginning, able to do tenfold its original work. – Edna Lister, Unpublished Papers, January 16, 1944.

As is the universe, your life is based upon law, exact, uncompromising, unchangeable. Law cannot be changed to suit your desires; it is you who must change and become a living ensample of all law. – Edna Lister, Unpublished Papers, November 2, 1944.

Some fail, then God must change every line of Light in the outer. – Edna Lister, Unpublished Papers, November 2, 1944.

Love changes all else into itself eventually. – Edna Lister, Unpublished Papers, November 27, 1944.

Only self continually pounds at heaven's door, demanding change. It is only legal to serve well where you are with all your mind, heart, soul, and body. – Edna Lister, Unpublished Papers, December 19, 1944.

In changing from the old, you may hold no disgust for something of bad taste, or excuse the self. – Edna Lister, Unpublished Papers, July 14, 1945.

Truth is truth always and forever. No motive advanced, however unselfish it may sound, no sophistry offered by the self or subconscious mind can change the facts. – Edna Lister, Unpublished Papers, July 19, 1945.

Do not become so set in your ways so that you cannot change; examine the self for prejudice and opinions. – Edna Lister, Unpublished Papers, July 22, 1945.

As you change your focus of attention, your mental searchlight will shine upon it. – Edna Lister, Unpublished Papers, July 31, 1945.

When you cannot love a condition, turn from the condition and love God; He then sends enough Power through your love to change the condition. – Edna Lister, Unpublished Papers, August 24, 1945.

Life will always have its problems, its changes. That is life. Just meet it, live and never let emotion dictate. Always keep plodding and never stop working. – Edna Lister, Unpublished Papers, October 14, 1945.

Love heals, changes form into a higher state; you can change flesh, form and disposition. You cannot change Spirit. – Edna Lister, Divine Love: Transforming Power, March 2, 1947.

Principle is the absolute, universal, unchangeable, undeviating immutable foundation upon which all universes are based and established. Primal absolute laws are based on principles such as love, joy, peace, goodness, etc. Below, these abstract principles become relative laws, ethical and moral laws for civilization based in and upon truth. While man cannot change them, he can modify or dilute them to suit the needs of a race or civilization. – Edna Lister, Unpublished Papers, May 27, 1947.

All is change. – Edna Lister, Unpublished Papers, April 29, 1948.

Today's changes in consciousness are not great enough for tomorrow's needs. – Edna Lister, Unpublished Papers, June 17, 1948.

Remember to be receptive in the face of change. – Edna Lister, Ascension, September 10, 1950.

There is no boredom in heaven. All is change, change, change. – Edna Lister, Unpublished Papers, November 16, 1950.

You cannot change law but must accommodate it. God created man for law to use; another way of saying this is that the Unchangeable created man for its immutable purpose. That is our destiny, our inheritance. – Edna Lister, Unpublished Papers, January 12, 1951.

You have the right to say, "I prefer this statement to that," or, "This isn't right for me." Councils receive petitions of law dealing with questions on such earth matters. They make a law and change the vibration through your Oversoul. You change your mind, so they may change the rate of vibration to meet your needs. – Edna Lister, Unpublished Papers, June 4, 1951.

God doesn't change; He cannot be added to or taken from. – Edna Lister, Unpublished Papers, June 7, 1951.

You must be inspired to make a change. – Edna Lister, Unpublished Papers, July 30, 1951.

Love is the fulfilling of law. That point of lifting love that changes malformations in the "twinkling of an eye" is the cohesive power of the universe. – Edna Lister, Unpublished Papers, November 29, 1951.

You must always allow beneficent Light time to change all else into itself as healing. – Edna Lister, Unpublished Papers, February 24, 1952.

When you become self-centered, you become the key piece in the log-jam of the affairs around you. The situation cannot change until you recognize that you are the only one who can break up the jam without using force. If you refuse to change, force piles up behind you until it blows you out of the way. – Edna Lister, Unpublished Letter, May 1, 1952.

When you ask, "Why did that fail? I thought it was ready," remember that your slightest slackening in holding your lines of Light on earth can instantly cause sudden changes in Council's plan for you, or switching to an alternate plan. – Edna Lister, Unpublished Papers, August 18, 1952.

After you grasp the first idea, do not rush out and look for the change or you cut the vibration. – Edna Lister, The Flame on the Altar, December 14, 1952.

Change mere self confidence into soul confidence. Self-confidence splits and cracks when needed most, but soul confidence is immutable and unchangeable because you have ascended to God. – Edna Lister, I Ascend, July 11, 1954.

Remember that Sarai's name was changed to Sarah and Abram's to Abraham so they would not look back. Lot's wife is an example of what happens when you do. Accept the change or you crystallize into the past pattern again. – Edna Lister, Unpublished Papers, May 19, 1955.

Do not be dictatorial about an outcome, saying, "It will be this way and no other." Use such words as, "It could work out that way, if," or "It could happen this way." This leaves the front and back doors open to later changes. – Edna Lister, Unpublished Papers, June 2, 1955.

Often a person must change himself before he can obtain what he desires. Those who rarely look inward usually fail to discern this. – Edna Lister, Unpublished Papers, June 3, 1955.

You can forever count on change, so your faith cannot be rigid, but always must be stable. – Edna Lister, The Pathway of Faith, May 6, 1956.

You transmute through loving God. "Mutation" means "to change"; "trans" means to carry over into a new life. When the same lesson comes repeatedly, you have never fully learned it. Or you can bury it so deeply that it becomes a subconscious record, played nightly, leaving a sense of dread that covers it from the conscious mind, thus recreating the same episode. You recreate the old episode by repeating it to another, thus setting the stage for it to recur. You must transmute the "old" into Light through love. – Edna Lister, No Shadow of Turning, July 15, 1956.

The world hates change; just the idea of change generates fear in some hearts, and causes people to fight for their "rights." – Edna Lister, The Comforter, August 19, 1956.

You use change to transform even a dozen defeats into experience. – Edna Lister, The Comforter, August 19, 1956.

If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you. Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also. – John 15:18-20. "The world loves its own" simply says "the world hates change." – Edna Lister, The Way: Your Path, October 14, 1956.

When you grasp a higher law, you seem to secede from your friends, group or family, which considers itself perfect. You bring Light, and people often hate the Light that causes change and creates a guilt complex. They believe you are interfering with their free will. They cannot hide from the Light that changes them, so they fight you. Self-will brings darkness; the free will of God is pure Light, which reveals what is in the dark place. – Edna Lister, The Way: Your Path, October 14, 1956.

Always be ready for great change, have everything in readiness, and learn all your lessons well in preparation. – Edna Lister, Unpublished Papers, October 25, 1956.

When you change your attitudes, you begin a new inner life with no self excuses, no hiding behind a boss or family. – Edna Lister, The Life: Your Practice, October 28, 1956.

Every great teacher who has ever changed or destroyed some old interpretation of truth has paid a debt of force, though he receives credit for his faith and motive of unveiling new glory. – Edna Lister, The Glory: Your Ascension, November 11, 1956.

A miracle is a speeding up of time in the change from emotional turmoil or stagnation into the prayer of Spirit. – Edna Lister, Unpublished Papers, January 24, 1957.

To change plans is legal, but living in the plan, without executing it, is illegal. Live this hour fully, and do not drain your action into the future. If you drain action into the past, as in regret, it is lost; if it flows into the future, it causes confusion. – Edna Lister, Unpublished Papers, August 12, 1957.

Escape means more than avoiding issues; it means refusing to change something within ourselves. – Edna Lister, Unpublished Papers, 1957.

God set the vibration, the number and name of principle for the duration of the Day of Manifestation. He does not allow His manifestations to change the capacity of these vibrations, but gives all living souls the power of choice to choose between opposites. You can't will what law goes with good and evil, light or dark, self and soul, etc., yet when you choose, you set the capacity of your rate of vibration; you can change your rate of vibration as often as you want. – Edna Lister, The Bond of Spirit, October 6, 1957.

There is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding. – Job 32:8. When God breathed a spirit into man, He intended that we must always return to our original rate of vibration. Every rate of vibration is a law that you cannot change, but spiritual substance manifests as what you declare. – Edna Lister, The Bond of Spirit, October 6, 1957.

If you create an emotional nest, you breed stagnation and retrogression. If you refuse to allow your soul to "fledge" from the nest, life itself will evict you. Accepting the need to change is wiser in the end. – Edna Lister, Unpublished Papers, October 30, 1957.

You may never consider darkness except to change it into Light. Do not consider yourself a part of it, but rather, "How will I affect this?" Each time you face darkness this, it is a purifying initiation. – Edna Lister, Unpublished Papers, December 18, 1957.

Escapism means more than avoiding issues; it means refusing to change something within you. Sighing is a symptom of trying to escape from responsibility for facing the selfish issues that you need to change in returning to God. Some sigh because they lack the guts to face their creations. – Edna Lister, Unpublished Papers, December 18, 1957.

Love does not tolerate anything mixed with itself, no adulteration. No matter what love touches, it changes it to itself. Light, which is the power of love made manifest, can dissolve a growth because when Light meets darkness, it absorbs it into Light. – Edna Lister, Unpublished Papers, February 4, 1958.

"Brainwashing" is a process that changes some factor of thinking or quality of the emotions. To ascend, brainwash your mind in Light to cleanse any darkness in the brain cells. – Edna Lister, Brainwashing, Inc., October 19, 1958.

Brainwashing operates under the principle of Love, the only power in the universe that can recondition or change substance from one form to another. Apply the principle of Love as brainwashing to change your mind. – Edna Lister, Brainwashing, Inc., October 19, 1958.

Prayer is a spiritual brainwashing and you can change the mental life only through prayer. – Edna Lister, Brainwashing, Inc., October 19, 1958.

Death is the highest Love vibration. Only love can change a form or coax a soul from the body. A soul hangs onto an old sick body only because an unloving disposition is unable to accept the idea of change. – Edna Lister, Unpublished Papers, October 23, 1958.

God is changeless. You change, God does not. – Edna Lister, Idealization, May 10, 1959.

Psychology and metaphysics teach that you condition your life by your thinking, and that thinking correctly can change any present condition. – Edna Lister, Unpublished Papers, June 16, 1959.

Conversion is a complete change in the emotional life. Repentance is a complete change in the mental life, your mind and thinking faculty. – Edna Lister, Imagination Is Your Crown, June 21, 1959.

Remember, high laws are not changed in meaning, yet they are tempered and modified to meet the present abilities plus a little for vision, but not enough to be a rebuke for past negligence that makes it seem too hard to pay the debt. – Edna Lister, Unpublished Papers, October 30, 1959.

A change is always a challenge to draw upon your faith and everything you have learned, and to hold fast to God. – Edna Lister, Feed My Sheep, November 22, 1959.

One person can change the whole atmosphere in a family, business or social setting. – Edna Lister, Your Full Birthright, December 6, 1959.

To pray together in groups, consciously and deliberately, will change the world. – Edna Lister, Unpublished Papers, December 4, 1960.

Always be ready for instant change. – Edna Lister, Unpublished Papers, December 5, 1960.

Change your thoughts, pictures, emotions, and the body can do nothing but respond. – Edna Lister, Unpublished Papers, December 29, 1960.

Before you act, you must prepare to welcome the changes your newly exercised responsibility brings. Avoid getting bogged down in the swamp of despair others create with intolerance and criticism. – Edna Lister, Know That God Takes Charge, June 11, 1961.

Transforming means to move from one state to another, to change or recondition yourself to a new soul place through dedication, sanctification and the awakening of greater desire for the good. – Edna Lister, This I Know, December 3, 1961.

Change trains you in spiritual and mental malleability, and makes you far more flexible in your ability to handle challenges. Ascend into the Light and stand for two minutes, before speaking. – Edna Lister, Unpublished Papers, March 22, 1962.

The declaration, "This is good," can change any condition that earth may produce. All good comes to those who declare all good. – Edna Lister, Unpublished Papers, August 10, 1962.

We must change the conditions caused by opinions and prejudices. – Edna Lister, Unpublished Papers, September 7, 1962.

Every vibration must either ascend or descend "after three days," the time it takes to change a vibration from one rate to another. – Edna Lister, Unpublished Papers, November 14, 1962.

It is easier to transform the matter in a physical condition than to transform the mind of the person who needs healing. – Edna Lister, Unpublished Papers, November 15, 1962.

"Trans" means "to change thoroughly." To transfigure means to transform into something more beautiful or into a higher rate of vibration. – Edna Lister, Unpublished Papers, December 17, 1962.

When Light descends, its illumination changes the physical body's metabolism and reestablishes you in your natural rhythm. – Edna Lister, Unpublished Papers, June 18, 1963.

Recognizing the advent of change: How often you hear or may say, "This is it!" Every "it" has a root, and this declaration is nearly equal to saying, "This is good!" For when you say, "This is it!" – meaning annoyance, frustration or irritation – you give "it" a name, claim "it" and give "it" a home, from which you may lift "it." All the "its" are little clouds besmirching. As they float about, they nibble at the edges of the mind, even causing sleeplessness in their desire to be lifted into Light. If you could personify darkness, it would be as a beggar pleading to be changed into Light. Therefore, when an "it" strikes the present, causing you to remember a lesson, your declaration, "This is it!" names and lifts the vagrant, the thief of peace, the blot on honor. It frees you from the past, cleans up an obstacle that either causes you to stumble or blocks the doorway to the next step. – Edna Lister, Unpublished Papers, November 27, 1963.

Don't argue or seek to change people's minds. – Edna Lister, Shekinah Splendor, December 15, 1963.

You change and are changed here in life, so you can live many "incarnations" in one life. – Edna Lister, Unpublished Papers, October 12, 1964.

You cannot change Spirit, but Spirit can change you; it increases your capacity to accept without recompense. – Edna Lister, Comprehension and Recompense, November 7, 1965.

"Death" is a transition, the demise of the body, or a change of state of consciousness or place. – Edna Lister, Unpublished Papers, June 26, 1966.

Soul-expression is rightly named "personality." Soul itself does not change, but personality can. – Edna Lister, Unpublished Papers, October 18, 1966.

One inadvertent word or tone can change a vibration. – Edna Lister, Unpublished Papers, October 23, 1967.

If an unappealing situation has your attention, don't blame others, or self, but do change your thinking. – Edna Lister, Unpublished Papers, March 13, 1968.

The right time to change is when the desire strikes you. – Edna Lister, Unpublished Papers, March 20, 1968.

Changes, relative to what you want to do, must begin in mind, then you must move in the direction of the good that you want. – Edna Lister, Unpublished Papers, March 20, 1968.

Every change is a challenge. – Edna Lister, Awareness and Becoming Law, May 26, 1968.

Loving is what we all came to earth to do, and if we were doing our work well, the world would be a far lovelier place in which to live. You can take stock and see where you have let down, where you have sloughed off your responsibility. The world is in dire need of people to stand, hold and declare the glory of God. Start now by loving the unlovely, seeing only the good, only the positive through this love.

The negative never brings a positive; a negative thought can never cause a positive response. An unlovely thought or act cannot possibly create a lovely result. Accept the challenge to love the unloving, to shower a particular person with only dynamic, loving thoughts, and in an overt act make him feel that you truly care. You will see results, a change in him. This will be perceptible sooner in some than in others, but you will discover an even greater change in yourself. When you truly forget self in your Godlike pouring out of love to another, a change in you must result. The more love you pour out, the greater and more rapid the change. – Edna Lister, Unpublished Papers, October 15, 1968.

Breathe deeply seven times and change your body chemistry; seven times cleanses the bloodstream of mental, emotional and fatigue poisons. – Edna Lister, Unpublished Papers, October 24, 1968.

Every change of mind or change in your plan of life comes under the principle of resurrection, which lifts you up and out of the little self. – Edna Lister, Five Important Mysteries, October 27, 1968.

Flexibility means learning to change your mental gears in a hurry. – Edna Lister, Five Important Mysteries, October 27, 1968.

A new interpretation does not change the law, it just expands comprehension of its meaning. – Edna Lister, Unpublished Papers, May 13, 1970.

Principle is the absolute universal, unchangeable, undeviating, immutable foundation on which all universes are based and established. You cannot change principle, but in dealing with people, you may often modify principle to meet the need of the moment. Principle is truth. – Edna Lister, Unpublished Papers, December 8, 1970.

When you try to change another or interfere, you block the path to all your goals. – Edna Lister, Unpublished Papers, February 4, 1971.

Treatments For Change

Principle is the absolute, universal, unchangeable, inevitable, immutable, foundation upon which all universes are based and established. Declare, "From this hour forth I shall spend my life doing and practicing on earth what the law of God, the faith of God, the full honor of God and the full loyalty to God dictates to me." – Edna Lister, Unpublished Papers, May 10, 1956.

See the person in a rainbow sphere of Light, rainbow to facilitate change. Lift the force he has created, which binds him in stagnation. Declare, "Let Light go forth to absorb Name's darkness into a cloud of glory. Let it be lifted, taken up, and made into Light." – Edna Lister, Unpublished Papers, August 22, 1957.

Declare that everything an alcoholic drinks, including liquor, is holy communion for transubstantiation, to change the substance from the mundane to a higher state. Declare, "This is a holy communion. Let the spiritual substance from the Source recreate this into original, pure universal substance." Put mitts of Light on him, too; he will get so much from the rainbow sphere that his desire to drink on earth will wane. [You can reword this treatment for those who overeat.] – Edna Lister, Unpublished Papers, August 22, 1957.

Keep the Power of the River of Life flowing through you, since that Power changes darkness to Light and nothing can touch you. – Edna Lister, Unpublished Papers, June 12, 1958.

Use these statements: "This is good. I AM is working through me. I AM is changing me." – Edna Lister, Unpublished Papers, May 26, 1960.

You can change your life by vividly imagining your goal. Picture what you want and put the mold on a cloud, keeping the picture clean, clear and perfect. Picture yourself as joyful. See yourself going through an open door into the Light. Keep your eye single and on the Light. See each step as the next step toward perfection in your life. Day by day, add to your information to be more capable for the next step. You must know that you will be equal to any position, and so it shall be! Declare, "Father, let me walk on holy ground all day. Father, pour out Your Light to help me endure each day." – Edna Lister, Unpublished Papers, November 15, 1962.

The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye [change your mind], and believe the gospel. – Mark 1:15.

Whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. – John 4:14.

I and my Father are one. – John 10:30. [You must become one with the Father.]

Be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. – Romans 12:2.

This man [Christ], because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood. – Hebrews 7:24.

The Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord. – 2 Corinthians 3:17-18.

He which raised up the Lord Jesus shall raise up us also by Jesus, and shall present us with you. For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God. For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal. – 2 Corinthians 4:14-18.

Appearances can be deceiving: Satan transforms himself into an angel of Light; therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works. – 2 Corinthians 11:14‑15.

Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever. – Hebrews 13:8.

Put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; and be renewed in the spirit of your mind; and that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. – Ephesians 4:22-24.

Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name. – Revelation 3:12.

The seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever. – Revelation 11:15.

Etymology of change: Middle English changen, from Norman French chaunger, from Latin cambiare, cambire, "to exchange," probably of Celtic origin.

Change is a constant initiation.

Mutability
We are as clouds that veil the midnight moon;
How restlessly they speed, and gleam, and quiver,
Streaking the darkness radiantly! yet soon
Night closes round, and they are lost for ever:

Or like forgotten lyres, whose dissonant strings
Give various response to each varying blast,
To whose frail frame no second motion brings
One mood or modulation like the last.

We rest. A dream has power to poison sleep;
We rise. One wandering thought pollutes the day;
We feel, conceive or reason, laugh or weep;
Embrace fond woe, or cast our cares away:

It is the same! For, be it joy or sorrow,
The path of its departure still is free:
Man's yesterday may ne'er be like his morrow;
Nought may endure but Mutablilty.
Percy Bysshe Shelley
